1. Who we are

UAE Items is a marketplace for used goods in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. Items are offered by the UAE Items shop and by private sellers whose listings we review before publication. Contact: Contact us.

2. Orders and pickup

• Placing a cash pickup order holds the item for you for 30 hours. During that time it is shown as “Pending” and cannot be ordered by anyone else.
• If the item is not collected within the 30 hours, the order is cancelled automatically and the item becomes available again. You can cancel an order while it is on hold from My account.
• Pickup is free at the address shown on the order. With cash, inspect and test the goods, then pay. You may instead pay by card online when placing the order: the item is then sold to you and removed from the site, with no collection deadline. A card order that is not paid within the payment window shown at checkout is cancelled automatically.
• Preferred appointment times are requests; we confirm them with you.
• Delivery within Al Ain, when available, costs AED 60 per order or is free when the item subtotal is above AED 400, and is paid online by card before dispatch.

3. Sale terms for used goods

Used goods, disclosed condition

Items are sold as-is in the used condition described in their listings. Review the photos, condition notes, included accessories and any disclosed faults. The seller is identified for each item, and any specific faults you accept are recorded on the sales invoice.

Prices and VAT

UAE Items is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged or shown on prices, orders or invoices. If UAE Items registers for VAT, prices will include VAT at the UAE standard rate and the checkout, your order page and the invoice will show the VAT part of the total.

Payment and inspection

For cash pickup, inspect and test the goods before accepting them and paying. For card payment (pickup or delivery), payment is made online through Stripe’s secure page; review the listing and ask about condition before paying, then inspect the goods at pickup or on arrival. Card details are entered on Stripe’s page and never stored by UAE Items. Report any undisclosed defect or inaccurate description to us promptly.

Returns and additional warranty

No voluntary change-of-mind return or additional commercial warranty is offered unless expressly stated in writing for that item. Any applicable manufacturer warranty remains subject to its own terms. These terms do not limit rights or remedies required by UAE law, including those concerning undisclosed defects or inaccurate descriptions under Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection. Paying in advance does not waive those rights.

4. Listing fee for sellers

• The listing fee is AED 5 per listing. It is an advertising fee and is separate from the price a buyer pays for the item.
• The fee is payable after a listing is approved and before it is published, by card online, by cash or by bank transfer. Rejected submissions are not charged.
• Duplicate charges, and fees for approved listings that we fail to publish, are corrected or refunded. A listing fee does not guarantee a sale.
• Listings must be accurate and complete, must not include prohibited items (see Sell with us), and may be edited, paused or removed by us where these terms are not met.

5. Accounts

You sign in with a one-time code sent to your phone or email. Keep codes private; anything done with your code is treated as done by you. One person may hold one account. We may suspend accounts used for fraud, abuse or breach of these terms.

6. Liability

We take care to review listings, but we do not guarantee any item beyond what the law requires, and we are not responsible for arrangements made outside the website. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UAE law.
